I've been watching a DVD featuring Warren Buffet and Bill Gates having an engaging and down-to-earth Q and A with the University of Nebraska business students . And the insights and advice that Warren Buffet and Bill Gates give are really enlightening, wise and common sensical.
One exemplary thing about these billionaires are the values they have about their wealth. Both intend that 90%+ of their billions will be left to philanthropic and charitable work. They will still leave their families enough money and financial provisions, but they don't want their heirs to thrive on as freeloaders to wealth/financial dynasties. That is really impressive !!
My heroes, in that respect.
One recent realization/Aha! moment that I've have is that the Good Samaritan was actually a businessman. Notice that he didn't actually tend to the wounded man himself but he left him in the care of somebody (most likely a person who can really take good care of the wounded man , a doctor or caregiver perhaps, and most likely he paid the caregiver for his efforts ). The Good Samaritan then went on about his business. Talk about laser-focusing on one's core gift. My point is , there are numerous occasions where to be able to help others, one must have the financial resources at one's disposal.
